MAONI TRANSIT, originally, was a service company operating in the import/export sector, offering a wide range of support and consulting services in the aforementioned areas. Founded in 1986 in Yaoundé under the name MAONI, it has always operated within the national service sector. The name MAONI was inspired by that of its principal founder, M. Mathurin Nicolas Arsène NLANG OKO.

He is a committed and dedicated entrepreneur with a spirit of innovation. It was with this in mind that he ultimately decided to transform the company from MAONI SARL to MAONI TRANSIT SARL in order to focus primarily on import/export operations, specifically in the areas of transit and customs clearance.

However, despite significant competition in the sector, MAONI TRANSIT SARL is gradually establishing itself in the field.

On September 3, 2023, the Cameroonian Ministry of Finance, in agreement with the Directorate General of Customs, granted MAONI TRANSIT authorization to operate in the freight forwarding sector. Then, MAONI TRANSIT became a licensed customs broker under National License No. 010509/MINFI/DGD3/CDL, with its headquarters located in the Akwa district of Douala, opposite the Dicka-Akwa Monument.

The choice of Douala, the economic capital and hub of the national economy, as the headquarters of MAONI TRANSIT SARL was not accidental. Not only does its geographical location attract investors, primarily private, from all over the world and across all sectors, but the autonomous port of Douala, Bonaberi, is also a transit point for several Central African countries, including Chad, the Central African Republic, and the Congo. We note the significant lack of transparency in import and export operations. It was after considering all this information that the Managing Director of MAONI TRANSIT decided to locate the head office in Douala to be closer to economic operators. Future projects include:

• The upcoming construction of a warehouse for storing goods in transit or awaiting export, etc.;
• The establishment of a logistics unit for the transport of goods (especially containerized) within the national and regional CEMAC community;
• The creation of an external bonded warehouse for consolidated shipments;
• The creation of a container loading area, if necessary;
  Etc…

In the future, MAONI TRANSIT SARL must be able to meet all logistical and procedural challenges in all areas that reflect the strengths of a licensed customs broker. This challenge will be met with your trust and that of our qualified and dedicated staff.
